Background: John Lomas earned his Bachelor's degree in Geography from the University of Kansas.
Current research interests: Since 1995 John has worked on the development of the GreenReport® , which is used by the agricultural and forestry industries to monitor vegetation condition and change. While at KARS, John has participated in other research projects including: identification of grassland treatments using close-range hyperspectral remote sensing, change detection in pheasant habitat due to CRP management decisions, analysis of chemical spray drift zones in proximity of water bodies, and several land-use/land-cover mapping projects.
